This is a beautiful newly renovated holiday let on the ground floor of an old
farmhouse in the wine producing Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France. It
has one large, light and airy bedroom with en suite bathroom, fully equipped
kitchen/diner/living room. There is a double bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the
living room. The gite will therefore accommodate up to 4 people. Guests will have
their own private barbecue area and are welcome to use the large garden.

Situated on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Le Bousquet d'Orb, in the Haut
Languedoc National Park, we are just over an hour's drive from Montpelier airport
and from the mediterranean beaches.

Here the holiday maker can sample the delicious local produce, excellent seafood and
visit the many wineries, stroll around unspoilt medieval villages and indulge in a wide
range of outdoor sports. This is a particularly lovely area for hiking, with many well
marked paths in the mountains that surround the farmhouse. Lac du Salagou is just 20
minutes away, where one can find a whole range of water sports.

The historic towns of Beziers, Pezenas and Carcassonne are all within an easy drive.
Discover the walled medieval villages of the Larzac Plateau and visit the caves where
Roquefort cheese is made.

Montpellier itself is well worth a visit with its young, cosmpolitan feel and many open
air cafes and boutiques nestling in the winding medieval streets.

Languedoc Roussillon is the largest wine growing region in the world. It is famous for the world class wines of - Minerve, St
Chinian, and Faugeres. These domaines and more are all within easy reach of our holiday let and the producers are happy to allow tastings and describe their vintages to you.
