Eight degrees south of the equator there is an island where for a thousand years the inhabitants focused on little else but the achievement of total harmony in life. On this island there is a small village of farmers and fishermen, built around a complex of exceptionally beautiful temples and surrounded by a green belt of undulating rice paddies. You have to know that it is there in order to find it and it is untouched by time. On the edge of this village, right on the beach there is Villa Pangaea, a private hideaway in a class all of its own.

Locality

The most endearing quality of the location of Villa Pangaea
is the total absence of traffic noise. What one hears are
just the sounds of the waves and the songs of the birds.
The only occasional man made sounds are those of traditional
village life and temple ceremonies.

Seseh is a traditional Balinese village that has not changed
in a hundred years and that has retained all the charm of
old-fashioned village life. It is not on a main road so there are
no tourist busses. The rice fields around Seseh –an official
green belt – are among the most beautiful on the island.

Yet Seseh is very centrally located, only 45 minutes from
the airport and 25 minutes from the nightlife and the well-known
restaurants in Seminyak. It is 10 minutes from the famous
Nirvana Golf Course near Tanah Lot.

It is the perfect starting point to explore the island. Ubud is
only 45 minutes away and the temple of Batu Karu less
than one hour. The walk on the beach from Seseh to Tanah Lot
must be one of the very best on Bali. The area is perfect
for cycling and trekking through the rice-fields. There are
a couple of really good surf breaks nearby and in front of
the village swimming in the ocean is possible.

Property

The beach house has a two story structure with a 45 sqmt AC bedroom downstairs and an equally large living upstairs with dining, kitchenette and UdaybedI, all in open tropical style. It has an open-air bath. What sets the house apart from similar luxury villa is its spectacular location.Seseh is a small traditional village surrounded by beautiful temples and undulating rice paddies, apart from main road and untouched by time. The area is perfect for cycling. Villa Pangaea Beach House is perfect for either 1 or 2 couples or a small family. Private entrance and access to a swimming pool. Breakfast included, as are the transfers from/to airport. Meals can be arranged on site with the staff at reasonable price. Linen change every other day
